Please note that funding for the READi for Health project has now ended. If you would like to contact one of the project team, you can still do so using the contact details provided here.

There are a number of resources that remain available on the READi website intended to support SMEs to gain insight into and intelligence on other international markets:

Project Background

READi for Health – Developing and promoting eHealth innovation. An EU -project, which started on 28th of September 2013 and ends at 30 September 2016.

Uptake and spread of eHealth innovations are critical if we are to address the health and economic challenges posed by an ageing population, increasing prevalence of chronic disease and tightening financial constraints.

The European FP7-REGIONS program funded project READi (Regional Digital Agendas for Healthcare) will support four European regional clusters to facilitate faster uptake of their eHealth innovations. The project will deliver a Joint Action Plan to promote the eHealth ecosystems in Murcia (ES), Skane (SE), Oulu (FI) and Midi-Pyrenees (FR). Key areas of focus include clinical data exchange, cloud computing and mobile security, while promoting Pre-Commercial Procurement and facilitating internationalization of eHealth companies.

9 actions to boost eHealth

  1. Developing effective and inclusive regional ehealth strategies
  2. Launching eHealth innovation hubs to support business from idea to implemented product focusing on needs

  4. Pursuing interoperability - semantic and otherwise
  5. Launching new initiatives that can discover how to use big data for better healthcare decision making
  6. Supporting digital health-tech SMEs to access global healthcare markets
